HOW TO BURN XGD3 GAMES USING BURNERMAX PAYLOAD TOOL

1. Connect your DVD drive to your computer

2. Insert a dual-layer disc unto the DVD drive

It is highly recommended that you use Verbatim DL for longer disc readability

3. Open "BurnerMAX Payload Tool"

Download BurnerMAX Payload Tool here:

http://ge.tt/api/1/files/7SU1kxT/0/blob?download

4. Check if your DVD drive is compatible with "BurnerMAX Payload Tool":

  • First, select your DVD drive
  • Then, click BurnerMAX button

vf710VE.png

If it says, BurnerMAX IS enabled ! and Free Space: 8,738,897,920 bytes
then your DVD drive is compatible and you can now fully burn XGD3 games

You can also refer here to check if your DVD drive is compatible:

http://xboxpirate.eu/forums/topic/219-burnermax-payload-tool-compatibility-list/

However, the list is not always update since almost all new DVD drives as of now is compatible with BurnerMAX Payload Tool.
So before buying a new one, check first your current DVD drive if it is compatible and do some research about the DVD drive you would like to purchase.

5. Close BurnerMAX Payload Tool (only if you want to)

Because the patch is only for one time usage you need to run BurnerMAX Payload Tool application every time you insert a dual-layer disc (if you'll be burning XGD3 games).

6. Run the ISO of the game you want to burn on abgx360

Download abgx360 here:

http://abgx360.net/download.php

Here is a tutorial on how to patch games using abgx360:

http://xboxpirate.eu/abgx360-1-0-6-released/

7. Open ImgBurn

Download ImgBurn here:

http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download

8. Click Write image file to disc

9. Click the search icon under Source and then browse and open the DVD file of the game you want to burn

10. Under Destination, select your DVD drive which is now compatible with BurnerMAX Payload Tool

11. Choose your Write Speed from the Supported Write Speeds on the log (Recommended: 2.4x or 4x)

9. Go to Tools > Settings > Write. Copy my settings below. Click Ok to save changes

* Forgot to tick "Ignore Mounted File System Drivers". Please CHECK "Ignore Mounted File System Drivers". I will replace the image tomorrow to correct it.

10. If you have a Lite-On Drive, go to Change Advanced Settings.

11. Go to Lite-On tab then:

  • Enable Force HyperTuning
  • Disable Online HyperTuning
  • Disable OverSpeed
  • Enable SmartBurn
  • Do not Clear OPC History

12. Under the I/0 tab increase the buffer size to around 512Mb

13. Start burning by clicking "Write" button

I'm open for constructive criticism. :D Thanks XboxPirate.eu

There are available Verbatim DL in some CD-R King. I'm not sure what branch. You can check their product inquiry hotline.

I think yes. I'm not sure though. Maybe CS can help you out with it since I'm not familiar with cloneCD. But i'll propably check it later and see how it goes for me.

hi... i'd like to thank you for this awesome tutorial... I have two questions:

1) can I use cheaper discs on this method? or should I do anything before using cheaper discs? (I mean, I don't use Verbatin)
2) this method will flash my burner just for that moment, right? in other words, my burner will still be the same, its settings will still as default.. right?

thanks a lot in advance

Actually yours can be flashed with burnermax firmware so you really don't need burnermax payload tool.
Also, Tomb Raider is not an XGD3. It is an XGD2, which means any normal dual layer burner can fully burnt it without modification done on the burner [right settings should still be applied].

1.) Some XGD3 games can be burnt on cheaper discs (ie: Naruto Shippuden 3 and DmC) but mostly all of the XGD3 games requires a high quality disc like Verbatim
2.) Yes, indeed.

Just a question ma'am!
For checking whether my drive is compatible with the payload tool or not can i use a normal disc(any CD or DVD4 gigs) instead of a 8.5gig DL?
Thank you in advance!! :)

hi there,

i have a samsung [TSSTcorpCDDVDW SH-224BB SB00] and I successfully activate the max space of a dvd-dl with BurnerMax Payload, my problem is that i burnt Fifa13(on verbatim, 4x) and worked for a while, after that, everytime i try to start the game it told me that the disc is unreadable. i mention that while i didn`t play fifa 13, i play from original disc L.A Noir and Max Payne 3, if this helps in solving my problem. i rewrite the game but the problem persist, can you help me please with some advice or with a solution for my problem?

thank you, best regards.

You do neither. The payload tool lets you burn games completely to a disc.

That isn't a must but yes, it is generally recommended to enable OPC when burning at 4x speed.
