Hi,

I need that Horizon-Modding-Tool because of the Bioshock DLC.
Need to transfer the content from PC to XBox with USB.

Now I downloaded the Horizon Setup from Chip.de (tried different Versions, same problem with all),
then installed it. No Error-Message at all.

But after double-clicking on the icon. The clock appears for a few
seconds. But that´s it. No Window Pops up.
No process is running.

Is Horizon hidden when running under Windows?
What am I doing wrong?

PC: Win XP Prof. Serv. Pack 3
.Net Framework 2.0
Avira Free AntiVir.
It´s an old Celeron (1,8 GHz), but provides good work.
(have a better one, but only that PC has an Internet-Connection)
Using JDownloader, everything OK!

...thanks for answering my question. Greetings MM

Try these:
  • Run as admin - To start a program as an administrator

    1. In Windows Explorer, click the program executable file that you want to open.
    2. Press SHIFT and hold, right-click the program icon, and then click Run as.
    3. To log on using an Administrator account, click The following user.
    4. In User name and Password, type the Administrator account name and password that you want to use.
  • Run program in compatibility mode for Windows XP SP3 - Right-Click Horizon, Properties, Compatibility tab.
  • If you haven't already try starting Horizon by using the target file and not the shortcut.
  • Unistall Horizon using IOBit Uninstaller or Similiar (Removes all left over files & Registry). Then re-download and install with Anti-Virus & Firewall Disabled.

If installing the latest version of .net framework doesn't help then try the following.

Installed .Net 4.0 (4.5 won´t run under my OS)
Installed the Horizon from xboxpirate, still no reaction.

trowieownz: Same under Compatibility-Mode. Tried installing and reinstalling.
I use my PC as Admin all the time.

CS: I can´t delete the 2.5.10.0 folder because my Daring Develepment folder looks different.
For example, there is no Horizon.exe_StrongName_oj3dekulwqzgsr0yopf0ih 1k4 ipdntld
and 2.5.10.0 folder.
(I don´t hide Folders and Files), then I tried searching: nothing found.

It´really crazy! I don´t even get an error-message.

by the way...thanks for support

I just need a program which can transfer DLC from PC to my XBox via USB.
I hope Horizon is not the only one.
Do you you any else???
I don´t need a Modding-Tool, so why use Horizon...

I worked on the problem and finally I got an Error-Message!
It´s the same error for Modio and Horizon.

It says: .Net Framework Initialization Error
Unable to find a version of the runtime to run this application!

Does anybody know how to solve this problem???

Thanks MM

OK!!!
Modio and Horizon are working now.

The problem was the version of the .NET Framework!!!
Because of any unknown reason I needed exactly the
.NET Framework 3.5. Not the 4.0; (don´t ask me why).

Hell, I never thought it would be that hard to get a modding-tool to work.

greetings MM
